Ok so it has been a while since I've posted so I thought it was finally a good time to update.
We'll start back a couple weeks on my birthday.
It was Bike to work/school day so I started my day out with a nice bike ride to school. After classes I rode back home and met my dad and granny there. They were taking me to dinner at Anthony's and Wesley was supposed to show up later in the night. He surprised me by being their when I got home from work. :) I took them to see my school and classroom and dad and granny took lots of pictures (I'm glad no one was there to watch because it was a little embarrassing haha) We then head to Anthony's on the water front and had a delicious early bird meal and then they dropped us off back at my house. Forty-five minutes later mom, Ken and Trey showed up to take us out to dinner number 2 at Woodfire pizza. Trey was so cute and insisted (as in would have thrown a fit) if "sissy" didn't have a birthday cake, so we got some dessert that was a brownie cake with ice cream and crumbled toffee...it was sooo good!!
After dinner number two, Wesley and I got to relax a little bit before we headed out with Tatiana (my roomie and neighbor from home) and went to the HoneyMoon. The car ride to the HoneyMoon was much more fun than actually being there. Let's just say we didn't like the topic of the music that night. We quickly left there and just called it a night.
On Saturday Wesley and I went to breakfast at the Bagelry which has become one of our favorites! We got bagels and delicious muffins! Then we head to Woods Coffee at Boulevard and enjoyed some coffee while we sat next to the fire and people watched.
On Sunday we woke up, made breakfast and then decided to make energy bars that Wesley found a recipe for. We headed to the Co-op to get the ingredients and then came back and made them...They were delicious!!
It was a very good and relaxing birthday weekend.
The next weekend Wesley and I headed to Eastern Washington for the Walla Walla Onionman (Olympic distance triathlon). We left town about an hour and a half later than we wanted to and then go stuck in horrible holiday traffic on the pass. We ended up staying at my cousins house in the tri-cities. We had planned on camping but I was very thankful to have a nice comfy bed in a warm house! We woke up the next morning and went on a 30 mile bike ride with my Aunt Julie and her husband Lance. After the ride we went to lunch at one of the local winery's then we hit the road and headed to Walla Walla. When we got there we picked up Wesley's packet and then headed to the house we were staying at. After everyone arrived and made last minute changes to their bikes and gear we headed to dinner at a pizza place downtown. After dinner we headed back home so that all the racers could get a good nights sleep.
We woke up the next morning to miserable triathlon weather. It was cold and rainy when the forecast said it was supposed to be sunny...grr. Wesley didn't have the best triathlon of his life but it was good practice and hopefully he got all the glitches out of his system.
We hit the road right after he finished up because I had a bachelorette party to go to in Seattle that night. Wesley dropped me off at the hotel and the girls headed out to dinner at Tango. We then met Wesley and some of the guys for a dance lesson and headed our separate ways after that. It was a really fun night!
The next weekend was another triathlon, this time in Issaquah for a Sprint Triathlon. This was much better weather than Walla Walla and Wesley had a much better race! We were able to watch Ken at a Karate competition where he took 1st in both the Kata and Kumate (spelling). It was beautiful weather that day so we went and ate lunch by the water in Lesche and then headed to Greenlake to lay in the sun and people watch. Another great weekend.
Okay and finally for this weekend. I headed to Everett on Friday for Dave Burgess's retirement party. I stopped to say hi to Bri and Ky (Bri is 37 weeks pregnant and about to pop! cannot wait! ) Dave's party was at the Everett Yacht Club. It was really great to see everyone and celebrate him and his career! Wesley and I headed back up to Bellingham after the party. On Saturday I graduated from college!!! So crazy, it doesn't feel real, but I really did :) Mom and granny came up and we went to breakfast at the Little Cheerful before heading to campus. Dad went fishing in Alaska so he wasn't able to make it.
After graduation, Wesley took me to dinner at ScottyBrowns and we enjoyed Mojitos! One of my favorites, then we met up with my old roomie Alyssa, Nick and Alyssa's parents at the Big Fat Fish Company. We headed to Archers for darts after that and then went to see my other old roomie, Katie at the Copper Hog before calling it a night.
On Sunday, Wesley and I slept in, made breakfast, relaxed and then went to the driving range. I had never been before and let's just say I need more practice. It was fun though and I am anxious to go again!
I have 4 more days of my internship and then I am DONE!!! So crazy...It feels like last week when I started.
